The Eco Manifesto
Our manifesto is 100% made of healthy, green ideas. Our job is to give you the best school time that you could possibly have, and we believe that we can do that for you. These five policies are a step to a better world.
Outside lessons
Having outside lessons is a perfect way to save electricity and bring better, more fun lessons into school. We won’t just have normal lessons outside, but we will also have interesting ones; for example: sketching and insect finding. Doing this will save electricity so more money can be spent on solar panels (and obviously some on you).
Solar panels
Investing in solar panels will be a great way to save money and electricity. If we save money then more can be spent on you and your enjoyment. Solar panels are good for the environment as they only use sunlight to generate electricity. We need to save electricity because when it is made, it pollutes the environment. We need to make a difference to our world.
Class plant
We want to introduce one plant for each class. This is a great way to bring in new and fresh oxygen and give children a healthy life. If this new plan works we could add more to increase the oxygen and make the classroom more enjoyable and happy. Each class will name, water and feed their plant. This will give each child a class responsibility and a small pride when their plant grows to become beautiful and healthy which is what The Green-Eco Party is all about.
Recycling points
If we were to be elected, we will introduce recycling points. When somebody puts something into their class’ recycling bin, they get to put up a point on a sheet next to their bin. At the end of every year, the class with the most points gets to plant a tree in the garden. There will be a sign next to the tree saying their class and year. This will be a good idea as it will encourage students to recycle more often.
More break times
More break times throughout the whole year will save electricity. This will help us achieve some of our main goals like buying solar panels and redoing the pond area. Also, kids need exercise and sunlight to keep them happy and healthy throughout the day. Doing this will give children a time in the day to do what they like and deserve. This will hopefully make the school a happier, more fun environment.
Rebuilding the garden
Rebuilding the garden is one of our main policies. It is falling apart and something needs to be done. We plan to do this by planting more and rebuilding the bug houses. Our plan is to send a class out there every week to clean and water it; if this makes it better we can have fun lessons out there. We want to rebuild it so more time can be spent there and so we can create a lovely home for animals.
Overall, the Green-Eco team really thinks that we can make this world a better place and it all starts with this school. You can help us by being the hero you always were. ACT FAST!
